You Are Accountable is now an in-network provider for Curative. As of November 1, 2026, Curative members across the country can use their plan for Accountable's recovery coaching, at-home testing and care coordination. Accountable bills Curative directly, and we check each member's benefits before they start.
This matters because of when we show up. Treatment ends, the person goes home, and the plan usually loses sight of them until something goes wrong. The year after discharge is where recovery is won or lost, and until now most people paying for support through that year paid out of pocket.
Making the hard part covered
Most health plans cover the acute episode: detox, residential, intensive outpatient. Then coverage thins out exactly when the person needs structure most. People in early recovery have been left to pay cash for coaching and monitoring, or to go without.
We built Accountable to fill that stretch. A certified peer recovery coach with lived experience meets with the member every week, the same coach each time. For members recovering from alcohol use disorder, a connected breathalyzer takes a reading twice a day from home. For members recovering from other substance use disorders, oral fluid screens are randomly assigned during the week and recorded on video. In between, there is a text thread with a real person. The member decides who sees the results, and with their consent we keep their therapist, prescriber and family in the loop.
That model is aligned to the ASAM Level 1.0, Long-Term Remission Monitoring. It is the level of care the field agrees people need after treatment and that almost nobody has been paid to deliver.
Why Curative
Curative is an employer-sponsored commercial health plan. Bringing Accountable in network means its members can get support through the year after treatment as part of their plan, wherever they live.
What this means for Curative members
If you are a Curative member, or you have a family member on a Curative plan, here is what the program includes:
Weekly one-on-one sessions with a certified peer specialist who has lived experience of recovery, the same coach every week.
A connected breathalyzer and at-home oral fluid screening, with results shared only with the people you choose.
Daily online recovery groups, optional, and a weekly family group for the people who love you.
Care coordination with your therapist, prescriber and treatment program, with your consent.
