For parents of teens

Virtual recovery support for teens, 13 to 17, from home.

A coach who has been where your kid is, a teen-only group, at-home testing, and a care team that can include their school, their program and their pediatrician. Written for parents. There is a note for your teen further down. Sign them up now or schedule a 15-minute intro call first.

What you get

A person to call, a plan you can follow, and a group of your own.

01

A person to call

Your teen's coach helps you know what to say after a hard week, what not to say, and when a worry is worth a call. You are not left to work it out alone.

02

A family group every week

Once your teen has joined, you can come to the weekly family group on Zoom. Other parents are in it.

03

One plan, everyone on it

With the right releases, the coach can coordinate with your teen's school, their outpatient program, their therapist and their pediatrician, so nobody is working from a different story.

How it works for them

The same program every member gets, plus a group that is only teens.

Their coach is a certified peer recovery specialist who is in recovery themselves, including coaches whose own story started when they were a teenager. They meet the same person every week on video, test at home, and can join a group any day, including a weekly group that is only for members aged 13 to 17.

If they miss a session or a check-in, or test positive, nothing automatic happens. They get a message from their coach, and the plan gets adjusted. Nobody is dropped for a slip. If we are ever worried about their safety, we tell you and help them get to clinical care.

What they get

A coach who gets it, testing, a teen group and a care team.

The same coach every week

A certified peer recovery specialist who is in recovery themselves, on video, thirty minutes at a time, once, twice or three times a week depending on the plan. Teens work with coaches who have lived experience of their own.

Testing at home

A breathalyzer check twice a day with facial verification, and random saliva screens on recorded video. Your teen does not schedule the tests, and there is no arguing about whether today is a test day.

A teen-only group, plus a group every day

A weekly video group that is only members aged 13 to 17, led by a coach, and daily groups open to every member. They can talk or just listen.

A care team built around them

You, their therapist or IOP, their pediatrician, a school counselor or coach. With the right releases, their coach keeps everyone on the same page.

Accountable is peer recovery support, not treatment. Many teens do this alongside an outpatient program or a therapist, and we will tell you if we think your teen needs more care than we provide. In some states a minor can begin services on their own; in most, a parent or guardian enrolls them. Call us and we will tell you how it works where you live.

How to start

You can do all of it on their behalf.

01

Sign them up or book a call

Sign them up in a few minutes, or set up a 15-minute intro call first if you want to talk it through, or if your teen wants to ask questions before agreeing.

02

Pick a plan

One, two or three coaching sessions a week. Most families start at two and step down to one as things settle. Change or cancel any month.

03

The device ships to your house

The breathalyzer arrives at the door, and check-ins run through the app on your teen's phone from day one.

04

They meet their coach

A first session as soon as the next business day, and sometimes the same day, during business hours. Once they have joined, you can come to the weekly family group.

In crisis? Call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline).

Plans

Three plans. The only difference is how often you meet your coach.

Every plan includes the testing, the daily groups, messaging and care coordination. There is a one-time $125 device fee. Everything is month to month, and you can change plans or cancel any month. Some members are covered through their health plan; we check before you pay anything. The pricing page has the full breakdown.

If you are the teen reading this

This is not a punishment, and your coach is not a cop.

Your coach has been through it themselves. Some of them started around your age.

Meet the team →

You do not have to want to stop everything to start. Plenty of members are here to get a handle on one thing.

Cannabis →

If you want to know what is actually in the stuff you are taking, we have written it up without the scare tactics.

Kratom and 7-OH →

Same goes for alcohol and for stimulants like Adderall.

Questions before you say yes? Book the 15-minute call yourself. It is fine to come with your parent or without them.

What members say.

98/100

Ninety-eight out of a hundred members surveyed in 2026 said they would recommend Accountable to someone they love (592 surveyed). The research on peer recovery support, with sources, is in the guide on whether virtual recovery support works.

"They do what they say they're going to do, even when I resented them for it at times. They've been instrumental in coordinating care, giving my family peace of mind, and most importantly, holding me accountable."

Olivia M., member

"The daily check-ins and encouragement from the team have kept me motivated and focused on my goals. I don't feel alone in this process anymore."

Samantha L., member

"My peer coach, Dani, is wonderful and very supportive. She really understands where I'm coming from and my struggles from day to day. I will continue with the groups and my progress thanks to this program."
