Jennifer's Story

Jennifer A., MA
For more than 15 years, I worked in the behavioral health field as a clinician and clinical supervisor. I had the privilege of working alongside individuals, families, and professionals during some of the most challenging times in their lives. I learned the importance of compassion, connection, advocacy, and, most importantly, never giving up on the people we serve.
After more than 15 years in clinical leadership, I transitioned into business development, where I spent over five years building relationships, developing partnerships, and connecting organizations and people with the resources they needed. I discovered that many of the skills I developed as a clinician, listening, understanding needs, communicating effectively, and building trust were just as valuable in the business development world.
Three years ago, I stepped away from behavioral health to pursue a career in education. I became a teacher, and it was a decision that taught me so much. Working with students reminded me every day how important relationships are and how meaningful it is to make a difference in someone's life. However, I realized that I still had a strong yearning to return to behavioral health. I missed the people. I missed the mission. I missed connecting organizations and helping people find the resources they needed.
I’m stepping into a new role as an Outreach Manager, where I’ll have the opportunity to bring together many of the experiences I've gained throughout my career. My focus will be on building new relationships, maintaining and strengthening existing partnerships, and increasing awareness of behavioral health providers and resources throughout Pennsylvania for You Are Accountable. I'm bringing my clinical experience, leadership background, business development experience, and the perspective I've gained as an educator into this next chapter. Most importantly, I'm bringing my passion for helping people.
Outside of work, I'm a proud baseball mom, to our 12 year old son. I love being near the beach, spending time with my husband and family, cheering on Philadelphia teams. Go Birds!
