Erin's Journey: From Rock Bottom to Redemption

My journey into addiction began in my teenage years, driven by a relentless pursuit of escape and euphoria. Alcohol, cocaine, stimulants, and prescription pills became my world, and I lived without limits—chasing highs while ignoring the damage in my wake. Over time, the chaos I created led to unbearable trauma, and I withdrew further into a lonely and isolated addiction, hiding from both my pain and the consequences of my choices.
Everything changed after a catastrophic crash brought my life to a halt. Detoxing alone in a jail cell, stripped of all illusion and hope, I reached my absolute lowest point. It was there, in the raw desperation of withdrawal and shame, that a volunteer came to share her own story of addiction, trauma, and recovery. Her courage lit a spark within me, proving that healing was possible—even from my darkest depths.
With trauma-informed therapy, peer accountability, and a commitment to purposeful service, I began rebuilding my life one step at a time. Today, I am proud to serve as a Certified Peer Recovery Coach, walking beside others as they navigate their own unique path to recovery. My mission is simple yet profound: to meet people where they are, to hold hope when they can’t, and to remind them that no matter how far they’ve fallen, there is a way forward.
