Accountable Member James Shares Gratitude For His Addiction Recovery During The Holiday Season

James started his recovery journey at Cirque Lodge. He enrolled with Accountable while still in residential treatment and has continued with Accountable since. As of today, James is 252 days sober!

I am currently a client of Accountable aftercare and I would like to give a little holiday blog on being clean for the holidays. In the past, a lot of my holidays were based on always having a focus on maintaining my high, but today in my sobriety my focus is on what the holiday really means. For me it’s about being present and accountable for what’s important, my family, my faith and how grateful I am to see and feel how beautiful life really is.

Being able to be my true self with the people I have in my life is a feeling that I’m so grateful to have and represent. Having those real feelings are what keeps my focus and credit for my sobriety at an all time High!

The true happiness I feel from holidays now is a high I could never replace! With my faith and hope, I truly wish everyone a happy holiday! Sending you my blessings!
