Empowering recovery through accountability
Accountable was founded by Matthew Serel, an experienced tech entrepreneur, and AJ Diaz, a Licensed Social Worker, based on their own recovery experiences.
While they were fortunate to receive acute treatment for substance use disorder, they found a gap in long-term accountability beyond 12-step programs and intensive care. Seeing the need for accessible, ongoing support, they created Accountable to bridge that gap.
Our mission is to help others build a sustainable, fulfilling life in recovery—just as we have.
