The Accountable family group

Family group calendar
coming soon.

A free online group for people who love someone with a substance use problem. Talk with people who understand, learn how recovery works, and take care of yourself while you care for someone else.

Your loved one does not need to be in our program for you to join. The schedule will be posted here. Leave your email and we will send you the dates and the link as soon as the calendar is up.

What we talk about

Each meeting mixes a short lesson on one topic with open discussion, led by recovery coaches who have been through it themselves.

  • How addiction works, and why it is not a choice or a weakness
  • What treatment and recovery look like, from detox to the first year
  • How to set boundaries without cutting someone off
  • How to talk to someone who is not ready for help
  • What a return to use means, and what to do when it happens
  • Trust: how it breaks, and how it gets rebuilt
  • Teens and young adults: what parents should know
  • Taking care of yourself while you care for someone else
What to expect. Groups meet online by video, so you can join from your phone or computer. You can just listen the first time. No one has to share. What is said in the group stays in the group.
