Addiction Recovery Goal Setting Methodology

At Accountable, our goal is to reinforce and continue the skills you, your patient, or your loved one is learning in treatment. We do this by setting attainable recovery goals with the recovering individual and their care team. We then offer peer support, and social reinforcement as the individual progresses through our phased approach.

Accountable is broken down into three Phases.

Phase 1 - Starting Strong

In the first phase, the individual picks two goals. One abstinence or recovery based, and one wellness goal that is selected from our goal library. We then collect data weekly on how they are doing on their goals. After four weeks of goal completion, they are moved to Phase 2.

Phase 2 - Getting Stronger

In the second phase, the Accountable Member, has the option to add more goals from our Goal Library in areas such as occupation, and family dynamics/social support. Similarly to Phase 1, we evaluate and adjust goals based on mastery every four weeks. This phase typically lasts one year.

Phase 3 - Staying Strong

In the third phase, the Accountable Member, has the option to continue to add more goals from their goal library. In addition, in Phase 3 the member may decide to decrease testing, and face to face peer support.
